I discovered the cutest souvenir shop in Tirana. It is not comprehensive but it had Very unique collection of hand made wood work if olive trees. And it’s different from the usual collection from kruja (fruit baskets and plates).
Our has different sizes of wooden forks & spoons, chess boards, backgammon and dominos, cutting boards, serving plates,,,, etc
It is located next to the white hotel at the corner of the pedestrian street and Tabake bridge, choose to the Lana river.
Seen in the streets of Tirana
It’s located near the market at the end of rruga Kavaja.
Finally I found a place to play golf in Tirana! It’s not a golf course per se, but at least it’s a start.
It’s located right next Kame resort, on the way tp Pellumbas cave, off el Basan road. It’s almost 25 min south of Tirana.
I heard another resort near Durres will have a real golf course, but it’s still under construction.
I’m so glad with all the changes I’ve witnessed since coming here 3 years ago! Way to go!!
I was reading this post, and I found myself amazed on how dreams do come true! 🙂

Let’s say Egypt (that’s my only homeland), or specifically Cairo (I haven’t lived in Alex, Sinai or the Upper Egypt 🙂 ), or more specifically some districts of Cairo (Giza, Maadi, Mohandessin). wow. How limited is my world ! I keep trying on expanding it either physically or virtually, here I am talking about visiting places, knowing people, seeing the world from different angles behind my viewfinder or just grabing a book (literature ba`a 3ala history 3ala travel,,,,,,). I am talking about the external borders, the internal borders of self discovery is a whole different issue 🙂 .
Let’s talk seriously. I discovered that “Discovering the World” is not just…

A sample from the “Albania, General Information” book I found in a street book seller.
Published by “8 Nentori” publishing house in 1984, one year before Enver Hoxha dies, six years before the fall of communism in Albania.
The old Albanian flag…
The city center!
I guess this is the Llogara pass, but I’m not 100% sure…
The dam at lake Komani under construction!
It is so weird looking at the now-deserted theater at the park, so full of life!
Bookworms living in Tirana know how difficult it is to find new additions to their shelves. Adrion bookshop is the main distributor, and on their bookshop in the Opera building you will find some best sellers & even some classics. But is that enough ?
Trying to fill that void, I roamed the streets trying to find additional supplierd, and here’s what I found:
