Photos from el Galt El Azraq

El Galt el Azraq is a small pool of water in the middle of the mountains. It’s soooo cold (even the guys weren’t able to swim for more than 20 minutes although the weather was so hot!) and it’s 9 meters deep! El azraq (blue in traditional arabic) actually means black in bedouin because the real colours of the stones is very dark. A friend of mine went there in the winter and the stone was very dark after being cleansesd with the rain.

I think this is Mount St Catherine.

We found these small walls all over many valleys. Some archaeologists say that some of these rocks were compiled a long time ago (maybe 3000 years ago)! If this was true, then perhaps Moses saw this same scene!!
